How the fine works
Overstaying in the UAE costs AED 50 per day, counted after your grace period ends. The fine applies to visit visas and expired residencies alike and must be settled before you can renew, change status or exit cleanly.
Grace periods
After a residency is cancelled or expires, a grace period applies before fines start — commonly 30 days, and up to 180 days for certain visa categories under the current rules. The exact grace period depends on your visa type, so verify your case with ICP / GDRFA rather than assuming the maximum.
How to regularise

- Settle fines at an Amer centre, ICP portal or at exit
